In 1990, Roger Fixy brought out his first record "Cuban percussion" with the group Iluyenkori. Songs, "toques secos" (pieces for unaccompapanied bata drums) and three very traditional rumbas were on the programme. His second album was a "tribute to Yemaya and Oshun".  Althought most of the members of the group have changed, its international character is still there, the musicians including a drummer from Réunion on the Bata, an Italian female vocalist, a french pianist and an Argentian saxophonist.
